Why we built this
Curiosity deserves context.
Look Checker is a place to understand your facial proportions without handing over your photo, creating an account, or paying a fee.
The idea
A mirror with better explanations.
We can all spend too long guessing at what we see in a selfie. We built a tool that turns a few visible relationships—face shape, symmetry, eye spacing, jaw taper—into clear language and low-pressure ideas to explore.
Nothing here tells you that you need to change. It simply helps you understand what is already there.
Try a free scanA real measurement
MediaPipe identifies up to 478 facial landmarks in your browser. We calculate ratios and paired-feature alignment from those points.
Private by default
The original photo is processed on your device. We receive no photo for free scans, and saving numerical results is always optional.
Transparent readings
We explain the formula and the limits of a front-facing photo. Nose projection and profile angles are never invented.
Not a beauty verdict
A single photo changes with lens, angle, light, and expression. A score is neither an objective assessment nor medical advice.
How to read a result
A measurement is a clue about one image.
The browser model locates facial landmarks in the photo you choose. Look Checker compares selected distances or angles between those points. Some values are ratios within the image; they are not measurements in millimetres. Results depend on clear landmarks and consistent detection.
This is a product explanation, not a claim of clinical validation or a standardized beauty assessment. We do not use these readings to make health, identity, eligibility, or other high-stakes decisions. Camera distance, head position, expression, light, occlusion, and image quality can change the result. If you compare two images, keep those conditions similar and treat differences as approximate.
Our tools are intended for adults and personal curiosity. Use the method and limitations on each tool page, and stop using a score if it is making you feel worse about your appearance.
What the numbers aren’t.
Not a beauty score
Beauty is more than geometry, and a number is not a verdict on a person.
Not a diagnosis
Skin, facial structure, or health concerns deserve a qualified professional.
Not permanent
Different cameras, lighting, expressions, and hairstyles change what a photo shows.
Editorial standards
Clear limits, corrections welcome.
Tool explanations describe the calculations implemented in the site and their known limits. We do not present them as clinical research, expert diagnosis, or a substitute for an optician, dermatologist, or stylist. Where a guide makes health or safety recommendations, it links to a relevant professional or government source.
Look Checker is maintained by its site operator. We do not claim independent clinical or professional review of the tools. If you find an unclear explanation, an incorrect calculation description, or an accessibility issue, send the page URL and a short description through our contact page. We review corrections against the code and cited sources.
